Theodoros Mardiris

Biologist, President of the management committee. He holds a PhD in Ecosystems Management and a Master’s degree in Education Sciences.Former Regional Director of Elementary and Secondary Education of Western Macedonia and ex Sustainability Education Coordinator, he was the Director of Environmental Education Center of Kastoria for 22 years. He has participated in a large number of research and development projects and published more than forty Journal and Conference papers (either in Greek or English). He has organized more than 120 seminars and workshops, participated in scientific and organizational committees of many Greek and International Conferences and has extensive experience in Environmental and Social Innovation projects.

Vassiliki Malea

Is Secretary of the Management Committee of the NGO. A kindergarten teacher, she holds a Master’s Degree in Cognitive Development, and a second Bachelor’s Degree in Pedagogy. She has extensive experience in eTwinning and Erasmus+ projects, as well as in information technology education, arts and collaboration actions.

Elena Zygouri

Is the Treasurer of the Management Committee of the NGO. Teacher- Educator, holds a PhD and a Master’s degree in Pedagogy. She served as Regional Director of Primary and Secondary Education of Western Macedonia (20109-2013), as a School Counselor (2003-2010 and 2013-2017) and as Teacher Educational Coordinator (2017 – 2021). She participated in many Comenius and Erasmus+ Programs related to School Education and student and staff mobility.

Stefanos Paraskevopoulos

Is a Professor at the Department of Special Education of the University of Thessaly. His scientific field is “Ecology and Education in the Environmental Protection”. He has participated in a large number of research and development projects (scientific leader in ten of them) in the fields of environmental education, social and political ecology and social research. He has published more than seventy (70) Journal and conference papers (in Greek and English language) with over 1000 citations. His main research interests include: the philosophy, principles and methods of environmental education, the educational policy and practice for Sustainable Development, the design of instructional materials for Environmental Education, the analysis of Human-Environment relationships, as well as the structure, dynamics and management of ecosystems. He participated as an evaluator in a number of Erasmus programs.

Nikolaos Pozoukidis

He has been working in public education as an English Language teacher or in managerial positions since 1988. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of West Macedonia, Greece. His postgraduate studies include a Masters Degree in Lifelong Learning (The Open University, U.K.) and a Masters Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (Hellenic Open University). He is an accredited adult trainer and his interests lie in the fields of Adult Education and the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language.

Konstantinos Papanikolaou

He is a graduate of the Department of Primary Education of the Pedagogical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and he holds a Bachelor Degree of the Department of Balkan Studies of the University of Western Macedonia. He speaks English and Bulgarian. He has experience in the Management of Education
